Aims

The IEAP Master offers 3 training paths:

Engineering and Ergonomics of Human Movement (IEMH): combines training in the theories, concepts, methods and tools of the engineer and the ergonomist of movement, equipment and workstations in an original way.
Bioengineering of Tissues and Implants (BTI): trains students on the entire life cycle of a medical device, from concept to design to marketing, with awareness of standardization and regulations.
Human Factors of Interactions with the Environment (FHIE): aims to offer knowledge and know-how to optimize human behavior in interface with their environment and the associated contextual demands or requirements.

Students move on to senior executive positions in research and development with equipment manufacturers or designers of sports equipment or rehabilitation, assistance or substitute equipment in the field of health or transport.

Targeted students

Admission is possible for holders of an L3 STAPS, psychology, neurosciences, physics, mechanics, biology, an engineering degree, a medical degree. This training is also intended for professionals wishing to complete their training or validate acquired experience.

Structure and organisation

In M1, the common core extends to S7 for the three courses and to S7 and S8 for IEMH and BTI. The specific courses extend from S8 to S10 for FHIE and from M2 (S9 and 10) for BTI and IEMH.

Research training is also provided throughout the three courses.

Knowledge to be acquired

All 3 courses (IEMH, BTI, FHIE) aim to train students for positions as R&D engineers, ergonomists, human factors managers in companies in relation to human movement (without being exhaustive, in the fields sports, medical, paramedical, transport, construction, etc.). This mention also aims to prepare for careers in academic research.

Professional skills to be acquired

Integrate the user dimension (comfort, physical abilities, cognitive, motor, sensory and sensorimotor aspects) in the design of equipment
Intervene in different phases of the implantation of an EMR: virtual operating room, optimization and design of EMR or personalized ancillaries, post-operatively for the evaluation of the results using modeling or movement analysis tools
Optimize human behaviors in interface with their development environment and the associated contextual demands or requirements.

Internships and supervised projects

M1 : work placement, public and/or private, of 7 weeks

M2 : 6-month internship
