Goals :

Understand the dominated convergence theorem and its applications in integration theory. In a second part, study the jordan reduction of matrices and its applications in dynamical systems theory.

Course outline :

1 – Integration theory : the convergence theorems

2 – Redution of matrices : Jordan form and applications

3 – Dynamical systems in the plane : stability and phase portrait

Professional skills

  • Ability to study functions defined with integrals
  • Ability to properly reduce a matrix to solve a linear system of differential equations
  • Capability to study the behavior of dynamic models (stability, asymptotic behavior ..)
